TI newbie: Parts availability?

Hi there...

I may be in the market to buy a TI...and I see so many ads for parts..which leads me to a potentially dumb question. Can you get most parts (save, maybe body & interior) from either dealers or aftermarket companies to make repairs?

getbmwparts.com and pelicanparts.com are my favorite places to order from. realoem.com is a great free source for finding part numbers and illustrations. Member BimmerBum on here runs a site as well as an ebay store, he can get anything you'd ever need.

Almost all parts for these cars, except for a few specialty items and some random discontinued items, are still readily available from several sources, including the ones that Jess listed. Some parts are interchangeable with all E36 models (318, 325, 328), most are specific to the E36/5 (318ti).
