When I picked it up I herd a noise so I shook it to see if I could find what was making the noise, out fell a thing that looked like a nail with threads on one end, iy is about 2" long, Does anyone know where this might go or does some one have any pictures of the break down for this alpine cd changer? I also take it that the head unit part is supposed to float in the outer unit. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks grm | | | 06-12-2006, 09:21 PM | #2 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | I can't help you out on that, all i can say if you bought my Alpine cd changer from me that would've never happend. I figured it out, the shaft that fell out was one of two shafts that the cd eye travels on, the one fell out of its position. It needed both so the eye could travel above the cd so it could read it. I hope the eye doesn’t have to be in a certain position to start or I will have to send it off to get it in time. I guess that is what to expect when you buy on eBay and it states that he has no way of telling if it works, now I have to wait until the car gets home to see if it works | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
