Default Greetings from New Zealand

Hi,
I used to be a Mercedes man until I spun my wife's SLK230 out on a patch of black ice on a mountain road; it ended up WAY down the bank, upside down, with all the airbags deployed and my young girl and myself inside.
The Mercedes died, we are alive.
After that incident, I retired the work Mitsubishi van and looked around for a safer alternative to the van.
Our first 1995 318ti was experimental; it was a hatch; the back seats did fold down; it was safer than the van; if anyone could make this work, I could!!!! (After all, I AM a baby boomer...)
Our experience with that was so positive that we got the 1996 ti.
The first came to us with 143,000 km. The second came to us with 85,000 genuine km and is the pick of the two.

These cars have not yet been discovered in New Zealand as tradies hatches,
and as a result we are picking them up dirt cheap.

How happy am I with these cars? 100%.

Cheers!:

That's going to be a mission, since one car is always at home while the other car is always out working.
I'll see if I can grab a photo of each while they are (briefly) in the driveway together at handover time later today.
