Yes..yes I'm a newb. to BMW's. This all goes back a month ago when my lovely neighbor ran over the front end of me 98 TI with his Expedition. So I found a 96 "318" the same color being parted out on CraigsList today. I think to myself Heck-Yes this is perfect! So I basically buy the whole front end (hood, finders, bumper, grills, head lights,ect.ect.) So to make a long story short I believe the car is not a 318 but a 328. The hood and finders are to long .......Any one want to buy some 328 part's lol or I'll trade for a 318ti hood and driver side finder Attached are a pic of my TI and the "318" I pulled the parts off of. | | | 05-09-2011, 11:43 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | The issue you ran into is that the ti uses sedan parts (hood, fenders, mirrors) in front of the A pillar and not coupe stuff, which would be the logical thought. Behind the A pillar, everything is ti specific. Any model sedan parts would work, 318, 328, M3, etc. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 05-09-2011, 04:51 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | yes.. from the doors forward it is the same as the sedan. The door are a weird combination of coupe and sedan (coupe sized, but with a framed window) and everything else is specific to the Ti | | | 05-09-2011, 07:28 PM | #4 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | The bumper, nose panel and headlights will fit. You just need a hood and fender off of an e36 sedan or another 318ti. Bummer dude, live and learn, hope you didn't spend too much. I bet if you post the hood and fender on craigslist, someone will buy it. Best of luck to ya! | | | 05-09-2011, 11:59 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | what they said, it's all sedan parts. you also need fenders off a 97-99 3-series, otherwise the sidemarkers won't match I hope you're making your neighbor pay for all of this | | | 05-10-2011, 12:22 AM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2011 Location: Vacaville, CA Posts: 3 | Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 The bumper, nose panel and headlights will fit.
