Here it is. Bought the cup holder from BavAuto, $14.95 Made in Germany. Has spring action to grap three size bottles/cans. I need to put some kind of black cover on the side edges. The cupholder was made to go in another model, so the edges are open. __________________ 1998 (July) 318ti, 5-spd OEM Armrest Blaupunkt Heidelberg CD50 CD Player/Compact Drive MP3 Player Diamond Audio 5.25" rear speakers Navman ICN 530 GPS BMWALARM.COM (with comfort settings) after market alarm system Magnecor 8.5mm wires M-Z3 Shifter/Momo Knob Burlwood Dashboard Stromung Exhaust X-brace Racing Dynamics Front Strut Bar Carbonio C.A.I. 17" Rial Rims Vader Seats/Heated/Lumbar Support M-tech Steering Wheel/Front Sway Bar/Front & Rear Bumper Depos/w 6500K Angel Eyes/6000K HIDs Clear Corners M3 Mirrors UUC Light Weight Flywheel/M5 Clutch/M3 Clutch Slave E28 3.46 LSD/Mcoupe Cover/E30 Flanges & Halfshafts UUC S.S. On an unrelated subject i have a problem with my car, but i carnt find out how to create a new post i can only quick reply, so i will ask you (if you dont mind), I took the TI to the garage today because it has been misfireing, when the mechanic looked he found water in cylinder 1, spark plug and lead were both wet, but it hasnt lost any water, pressure is bulding up ok and its not over heating, so the gead gasket seems ok. Any help on why this has happened would be great my mechanic can not find the fault he just blew the water out with a high pressure hose and it seems ok for now. | | | 11-04-2006, 08:52 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | First off, how is the compression in that cylinder? Then consider replacing the wires. I had a similar problem with my motorcycle (Triumph ) missfiring from water getting into the wires, and traveling down into the cylinder. But that didnt work either. How will water travel down the wire its been freezing (icey)on most mornings and this is when the problem started but its been dry. | | | 11-04-2006, 09:18 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | As far as compression, I think over 100 psi is minimum. Check other threads to be sure. This subject has been discussed before. If you knew which cylinder was missfiring, you could swap wires, and see if it moves to another cylinder. That would tell you the wire in question is bad. Then you need a leakdown test to tell you the rest of the story.
