Default need help asap

ok i am needing help on this one
my passenger side brake is jamming am its smoking like mad
i freed it all of and went to drive again so far donw the road it done the same

i have a 1999 ti compact vented front and solid back
i can the full front set up from a 325 for £80 ( newish pads newish discs calipers and caliper carriers do i need all this and will they fit straight on ?

need to know asap

you either need:

a new calliper

rebuild the one you have

get the kit your talking about. YOu will need the callipers, disks and carriers. You can re-use your pads if you wish...

it should bolt straight on.

i think i shall just get this from this guy and just change the both sides and get new flexi pipes aswell

Providing they didnt heat crack.

Mine heat cracked when my caliper was hung up, and the rotor was glowing cherry red like a formula one racer. I saw this as perfect opportunity to replace the rotors and pads with hi-performance ones.

I wish id known more about what was required to put a bigger brake kit on, instead of upgrading the factory stuff, but ya live and learn.

I did the same thing. I have 5k miles on my brakes and I am in the process of an m50 swap...

really kicking myself on that one because now I need the stopping power

i have now changed everything over and what a diffrence now doing over 130mph and stopping well also
the brakes must of been holding back for a while and i havent noticed
the set up come from a 325i and the brakes are all the exact same because its a year 99
anyone out there with solid front brakes get the upgrade its great and cheap
also thanks for the info and feedback guys
