I'm posting this for my brother, he is going to buy my 318ti when he sells the Z3. Contact me and I'll forward the message. More pictures on request. The car is in Golden CO.
Four cylinder Z3 in great condition. I bought the car in spring 2004 with 43,000 miles; now it has a little under 70,000 miles. Options include heated seats, chrome line interior package and on-board computer. Interior is in good condition; the leather seats feel almost as good as new and the stereo head unit was recently replaced with a Blaupunkt unit that includes an iPod interface and looks better than stock - only a slightly worn steering wheel detracts from an otherwise great interior.
Top needs some work to repair the stitching around the rear window; there are quite a few different options - from a few drops of adhesive to an entirely new top - that I thought I would let you decide what to do.
Engine has a Dinan chip and cold air intake installed. Im not sure they increased the power, but it sounds great and gets a little better gas mileage than stock (about 33mpg on the highway and 25mpg in town).
Frequent maintenance has kept this Z3 in perfect mechanical condition. Oil changes done at 5,000 miles or 6 months with Mobil 1, transmission and differential oils at 10,000mi/yearly, coolant and brake fluid were flushed every-other-year.
Suspension has various major and minor upgrades. The major things are Bilstein HD dampers and 17x8 BBS RK wheels with Bridgestone RE750 tires. The shocks were installed a little less than 20,000 miles ago and made the car much better controlled at the expense of a little ride comfort. The car is currently on the original BMW style 35 star wheels and Dunlop WinterSport M3 snow tires (although the picture shows it on the BBS wheels and summer tires); I planned on selling the car on the BMW wheels, but I would sell it on the BBS wheels for the same price or with both sets for $500 more.
Minor upgrades include: strut brace, rear anti-roll bar from a sport model, stronger rear shock tower mounts, solid rubber offset front control arm bushings, urethane rear subframe bushings.
Brakes were redone at 42,000 miles using Brembo rotors and EBC Green Stuff pads. These are roughly a quarter worn and sill feel great. The brake lines were recently replaced wih Goodridge braided stainless steel lines. These give I great pedal feel and good stopping power either hot or cold.
Asking $8500.
