Friday i took the stratus to a class for work which was about a 40mile round trip driving there the car was fine, on the way back little over half way the stratus decides to take a crap. I was on the highway doing 65mph on cruise and the next thing i here is "DING" and i looked the cel light came on and the car started bucking and shaking real bad. I limp it home at 45-50mph on the highway it wont let me go over 50 it would start bucking and shaking. So i get it home shut the car off pop the hood check the fluids, look for loose connection nothing. So then i turn the ignition key to the on position 4 times so that way it would tell me the code and its a P0340 code look it up and the cam position sensor fault. I cant believe this is happening the car is 6years old and only has 85000 miles on it going to get rid of it next month and getting a X5 that was the straw that broke the camels back thanks for letting me vent | | | 12-17-2011, 09:03 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | yikes! vent dude...vent __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 12-17-2011, 09:07 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Miami, Florida Posts: 483 | I want my click back. __________________ | | | 12-17-2011, 10:18 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Atlanta Posts: 233 | My mom had a stratus and I can honestly say, that is the worst piece of **** car ever made. For some reason, their engines are known to build up sludge and crap out after a couple of years. Of course Dodge couldn't care less about the problem. __________________ -PTS- "Some people like cupcakes better. My 318ti has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. It has literally been as reliable as gravity. Even when the fuel pump went (my fault) It still got home under it's own power | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
