Default new ti owner in Canton MI
Hi, I just helped the 16-year-old son of a family friend buy his first car, a '95 ti 5-speed. I've been playing with BMWs for several years now, first with a '79 528i (E12)(sold), then a '95 ///M3 (current), and my daily 2007 525xi (E60). I'm a mechanical engineer by education, an automotive brake systems engineer by occupation, and a lifelong gearhead. This car is very solid but has some deferred maintenance items which we will be working on over the next few months as the budget of a 16-year-old allows. I'm looking forward to learning from your experiences, and I will do my best to share my experiences as we get this car back up to reliable daily status.

Welcome, I'm over in Detroit. There are quiet a few of us in the MI area. Hopefully a meet can be arranged for the spring.
