Seriously, it was pretty crazy and those guys were just taking back their property, but the number of bees in our country has been significantly reduced by what we think to be either Global Warming or "El' Nino." Who cares, it's just a couple of bee's right? Well the people who harvest our crops care. Bee's play a significant roll in pollenating more than just flowers. Their hard work is important to the aggricultural and medical industry. I used to hate bees too. I thought they were annoying and I've even been stung a time or two. However my views have changed. I think it's time that people aknowledge them for their role and imagine what the world would be like without them. Think about it, if 1 bee pollenates 1000 flowers, how many flowers would 10,000 bees be responsible for? I'm not gay or anything, I just don't think people should kill things. | | | 03-08-2007, 04:39 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | we always have the killer beezzzzz. I shall tame them of thier violent ways, then they shall be known as the Gentle Bees and the world will embrace and love them once again. "sigh" sometimes I get too bored sitting here on my ass...wishing I was in my car sitting on my ass....or maybe in a Biergarten on my ass. | | | 03-08-2007, 04:43 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | Btw, I have no problems with Bees, Wasp, Hornets, Yellowjacket I don't care for as I stumped onto one of the ground nest. but Arachnids if in the house will die...by flame if must.(I have pics of that) outside I try to avoid, but if contact is made I scream like a bitch and jump around like a voodoo witch doctor. resulting in the death of the 8 legged varmit or myself. | | | 03-08-2007, 04:49 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Quote: Originally Posted by Panzer_M Btw, I have no problems with Bees, Wasp, Hornets, Yellowjacket I don't care for as I stumped onto one of the ground nest. but Arachnids if in the house will die...by flame if must.(I have pics of that) outside I try to avoid, but if contact is made I scream like a bitch and jump around like a voodoo witch doctor. resulting in the death of the 8 legged varmit or myself. | LOL. Thats how my friend is. I was in his kitchen and saw a spider on the blinds and told him to go kill it. He was hesitant, but went to grab with a paper towel. Well apparently when he grabbed it, it fell out the napkin onto the floor, so when he opened the napkin, it wasnt there. He started to flip....started yelling and shaking "whered it go, SOB, where'd it go" I was sitting at the table LOL'ing my a$$ off at him. I thought it was the most pathetic sight to see....a 29 y/o man screaming and fussing over a small house spider the size of a dime. He finally saw it run across the floor and he ran and jumped on it. Crazy people. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 03-08-2007, 04:57 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | eh, the spiders here 4"-6" that's why I scream when I see them, but even the small ones(Fully black with bright green eyes 2" or so) I don't like those either. | | | 03-08-2007, 05:00 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Yea, spiders arent my thing, but i can deal with them if theyre average sized and dont look harmful. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 03-08-2007, 05:09 PM | #11 | doesn't care about you. I hate spiders more than anything. Bats get a similar response... __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 03-08-2007, 05:24 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | oh and 4-5" rattle snakes, then we have cottonmouths, maybe copperheads(but i think these are more northern), Coral Snakes, and Pygmy Rattle Snakes, and now wild Pythons in the South. | | | 03-08-2007, 05:25 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Quote: Originally Posted by Panzer_M oh and 4-5" rattle snakes, then we have cottonmouths, maybe copperheads(but i think these are more northern), Coral Snakes, and Pygmy Rattle Snakes, and now wild Pythons in the South. | Snakes on the other hand....id prolly leave the house. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 03-08-2007, 05:41 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: maritimes Posts: 1,433 | I love snakes!!! bats.. I think their kinda cute. spiders.. OMG OMG OMG.. im worse than a 6 year old girl when it comes to spiders!!! super small, i can deal with those.. and i can kill the big bastards, but man oh man do i ever get the crawlies!!! *shivers* and for the record, im terrified of bee's and wasps.. I was stung 15+ times once after accidently disturbing a wasp hive.. so now whenever there is a bee or wasp around.. i lie and say im highly allergic so i don't have to deal with them LOL __________________ 11/97 Base 328Ti | | | 03-08-2007, 06:33 PM | #15 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | LMAO.... you guys are killin' me. I can see it now... the first national 318ti meet and some wayward spider/snake/bee happens upon our happy gathering... then the meet suddenly looks like a bad modern dance show. LOL I guess I'm not a whole lot better though... bees, wasps, etc are no big deal, I try to shoo them outdoors, or kill'em if they won't go. Spiders, I generally just stomp or swat. Snakes, on the other hand... NO, NOT ON MY HAND... EEK! GET OFF OF THERE!! Oh, sorry... yeah, I'm not much into snakes. I just avoid them. Oh, and you haven't lived until you've been riding a bicycle down a hill, going about 40mph, and had a bee/wasp/whatever manage to get into your partially unzipped jersey. Naturally, the bastard stung me before I could get it out. Good times.... good times. JMJ __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH!
