Default HELP!!

So long story short I am and idiot.. I was turing a corner at high speeds and there was sand on the road... understeered into a curb.... F'ed my rims.. not so stoked so I put the old ones back on.. but now I noticed the whole tire is pushed back and rubs on the firewall side of wheel well... So what did I bend .. Tie rods ? control arms? what do you think I am looking at for repairs... ?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...1%7C240%3A1318

+1 hour of labor for each side + a wheel alignmet afterwards...

obviously you do not need to do both sides, but you'd probably be better off...

An alignment shop can inspect and tell you what is wrong.

You might have just popped out the control arm bushing or you might have bent every single part attached to that corner of the car.

Seriously, it could be A LOT worse.
You described how I totalled my 98 ti in 2000.

I'd bring it to a shop and have them take a looksie too.

Sway linkage bent.. suspension top hat bent. not sure about tie rods.. probably also bent.. so I began taking it apart... however the ball joint bolts spin... how do you take them off?

the bolt that holds the ball joint to the hub? are you holding the nut on the other end with a wrench?

you bent your control arms. it is probally a pain to drive.

haha

i slid in the rain once (3 differnt types of warn tires, i was litterly waiting for my new tires to come in from tirerack.com)

i hit the curb, and bent my tire all the way back to the wheel well.

it is jsut the control arm, you might have messed up the pastic parts down there , but maybe not. a control arm runs for about $150ish each. so buy the one multi pack on ebay.

that ebay pack is worth like $600 ish in parts, so jump on it. i would replace the tie rods anyway, but if you dont want them, i will buy them for $60 for both =]
