My BMW guy says to go with original bmw in order to save my rotors. I hear that ceramic are not that great and can damage rotors...any suggestion for a good all round brake pad for wet and dry condtions would be appriciated. __________________ godlessSAVAGE | | | 08-12-2008, 12:38 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | I'm not sure which brand to tell you, but I'd say try to find low dust pads, bavauto sells a couple of different brands, I was thinking of getting Pagid myself a while ago | | | 08-12-2008, 02:11 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | Pagid brake pads are good. Very tame on the hardness scale, no squeal, affordable. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 08-12-2008, 01:00 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | Both the EBC and the Hawk pads have pretty low dust compared to OEM. | | | 08-12-2008, 05:10 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: The Netherlands Posts: 188 | Jurid pads are also OEM and good! | | | 08-13-2008, 01:15 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | well i was wanting to compare "words" against the pads i have, which are the green stuff pads. like the OP-er i want to find a good set for my next set. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! Mine have been good. Don't have lots of dust so far. __________________ Must see: Autopartswareshouse.com | | | 09-01-2008, 05:35 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | I have been running PBR Ceramics on mine for over a year.
