Default Is the steering wheel on the TI adjustable?

I didn't care much a bout adjusting the steering wheel until yesterday when I had my friend driving it, and he wanted to lower the steering wheel a bit. I bought my 96 ti half a year ago and still have no idea how to do it.

No but it is possible to retrofit it.

I know this has been brought up B4 but has anyone considered that the mod to make it tilt involves removing a pin, maybe replacing another (can't remember) and frontal crash safety? I'd hate to regret the mod as my steering column detaches and enters my chest cavity :\

Tilt steering wheels where available on UK models AFAIK.

If you are comparing a factory installed mod to aftermarket, I'd be concerned too.

Yes, I was comparing the backyard mod somebody posted a while back to the proven safety of the US stock version. Interesting though that the versions had tilt as an option. Wonder if we can get parts and what all we need to swap over....?
