Default tweeters

whats a good quality tweeter thats cheap and will fit in the door tweeter cases

the cases are
1 3/4 inch round
3/4 inch deep

might do the midrange too but i dont think i need to, im not looking for a great sound system, just one that sounds good.

i have jl tweeters in the rear deck and jl kickpanel speakers with the weird 4 inch speakers in the rear unplugged.

Mini, I just upgraded my front stage. I picked up a set of 5.25" Phoenix Gold RSD Component speakers for like $80 shipped off ebay. The mid fit perfectly into the stock location, and the tweeter hole only had to be opened up like 1/8", leaving plenty of room for the stock to go back in if needed.VERY easy swap over, and would have been insanely easy if I used the stock wiring.

I went with these speakers because they were getting great bang for the buck reviews on caraudio.com. You may be able to find a set of just the tweeters, i dunno.

I may wind up connecting the 3" speaker in the door to the head unit power, as the components are off an amp in the back now. Gotta decide if it'll sound good, or like ass.

After the trimming, just with essentially a spring/ that pushes against the rear of the door panel, and is held on with as screw through the tweeter case.

I had bought some MB Quart Q series component speakers and I hollowed out the original tweeters and kind of wedged the new tweeters in that way, although I did knock the grille out of the driver side enclosure. The rear tweeters I cut out of the plastic that holds them in then slid the Quart tweeters in from the front and then slid them back into place. The speakers have stayed in place for about 7 months now with no problems other than the driver side grille keeps falling out.

How about Hertz DSK130. They should be available in US (if not on eBay). I have done the upgrade and feel quite happy with the result. Kept the rear speakers stock and installed a JBL BassPro II active subwoofer.

That in my opinion is the ultimate reasonable priced setup in a ti.
