Turn heater on full blast. Before the engine reaches operating temperature, remove the radiator fill cap and adjacent bleed screw. Slowly add coolant/water until you see a steady stream with no bubbles flowing from the bleed hole. Tap and/or massage the radiator hoses to assist any trapped air bubbles. Allow engine to warm up slightly. Replace bleed screw and fill cap. Drive vehicle around for a few minutes. Allow engine to completely cool down and repeat the process about 3 or 4 times. | | | 04-15-2009, 11:44 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Virginia Posts: 242 | Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 Tap and/or massage the radiator hoses to assist any trapped air bubbles. | Be sure to use plenty lubricant because while tapping may work a hose is far more likely to respond to a massage... | | | 04-21-2009, 01:06 AM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: Ireland, Limerick Posts: 19 | Thanks fella's problem fixed! | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
