Default Ballpark Price - What's Reasonable?

I finally took my '96 in to a shop in Cary, an indy called MPowered Automotive. It really needs to have the crank position sensor replaced, but the tech gave me a couple other things that he would like to take care of now, and some things to keep an eye on for the future. I am leaving for boot camp in May, so I really just need to keep the car going until then.

Urgent:

-Crank position sensor (pulse generator)
-Fuel filter looks very old and the rubber lines are dry and cracking
-Breather hoses under the dash are very old and in pretty bad shape

I agree with pretty much all of these. What would be a reasonable price to fix all three? The guy who runs the joint is going to call me soon to ask what I want to have done and work up a quote for me.

Not urgent:

-Power steering hoses need replaced
-Oil pan gasket needs replaced

Considering I have been under the car quite a bit, everything he says seems to be true from what I have seen.

Thanks!

Anyone? I got a quote of $439 out the door for the fuel filter, crank sensor, and new breather hoses. I'll find out soon if they stick to it.

w00t, just got the car back - they had to replace the dash bulbs my old shop removed without telling me (CEL, SRS), install new breather hoses, replace a couple vacuum hoses, install and new fuel filter and attached hoses, and install a new crank position sensor.

If anyone in the Triangle needs service, go to see Jordan or Henry at MPowered Automotive in Cary. Their shop is hard to find, but they do good work at good prices. Tell them Steve Hartzfeld sent you.

When I leave for boot camp I might have them do all new bushings, new tie rod ends, new ball joints, and start planning for a custom turbo.
