I think that you would need both #1 and #7. You would only need to purchase #7, as #1 is already in your car. My basis is this: the sensor is a simple accelerometer--it measures velocity over time in a certain direction. For the front airbags, it measures a change in (negative) acceleration on a single axis, from fore to aft (bumper to bumper). When the acceleration change is large enough, it triggers the airbag. The side impact sensor is similar, but measures the change on a different axis. That is, one masures x, one measures y. Doing this independently makes it easier to trigger either just the front, or just the side. Also, it makes it possible that they are added as an option.
