like it says above..3.64 LSD small case in my 97 z3 1.9L, which came with a small case 3.45 open. stock stub shafts and axles from the z3.
this same diff and setup was previously used in a 95 318ti with no issues.
i have had this diff installed in my race car for a few months now, racing (drifting) at least weekly with no problems.
at an event here yesterday i heard a clunk from the rear, thinking it was just a scrape since the car is low and i was travelling over rippled pavement at the track i disregarded it. several runs later as i shifted into second accelerating toward the course the engine tached out and i was going no where.
i limped it back to the pit and put the car up to find the stub shafts hanging out of the diff by about an inch.
i'm at a total loss right now of what has happened...
any ideas..opinions..questions...
