Well... it looks as if this is going to be a custom job. I've looked through years of pages here and have no more answers. I finally found the ONLY place that sold a manifold for the Ti. http://www.neukin.com/bmwmanifolds.html Besides that and the turbo itself, what else do I need. (in terms of an appropriately sized turbo, piping size etc... links would be wonderful) All i've seen so far, are half completed pics here, or stories of companies making 5 or 6 kits and vanishing (mosselsomething). ...And don't say go DASC... Please. | | | 11-16-2006, 08:47 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: lancashire, england Posts: 300 | oooooh, very nice, for left hookers only though. my cars rhd drive, i know where to get a complete turbo kit for these. you could use that manifold with it though with a bit of extra piping. | | | 11-16-2006, 09:02 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: lancashire, england Posts: 300 | the kit comes on ebay every now & again. i've just tried then and its not on at the mo... i'll try again next week. you could try, if you search BMW 4CYL on ebay.co.uk you might find it in the meantime. they make the kits for vauxhall's mainly but they have assured me that the bmw kits are as good a quality and are complete at only £1300, turbo, ex manifold, everything. | | | 11-17-2006, 11:34 AM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Florida Posts: 13 | How much hp does it say it's rated for? if i HAVE to import i will, but i'd rather not get scammed by someone accross the pond. | | | 11-17-2006, 11:42 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | My Sister lives in Fort Wayne. Post what you find on bimmerforums and see what the FI guys have to say. You'll save a lot of $ buy avoiding these low quality turbo kits. If I remember correctly these kits run about 4-5psi and actually make LESS power than a stock engine. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 11-21-2006, 01:44 AM | #12 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Florida Posts: 13 | well if the turbo / piping / intercooler is good, i'd be willing to buy the kit, and the manifold from that other company.... it would be nice to know at least the parts i need (piping length / size / etc ... intercooler dimmensions) if i have to go custom... | | | 11-26-2006, 01:33 PM | #13 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Florida Posts: 13 | Hrmmm been looking around ebay recently.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-98...QQcmdZViewItem 625$.... i know it doesn't have piping or timer / etc... but still that's cheap... I was reading about cutting off the end two holes, because it was the same spacing as the m42/m44???? How much would that cost to do??? Any negative results from something like that??? | | | 11-26-2006, 07:59 PM | #14 | doesn't care about you. I would budget at least $2500 to build a DECENT turbo kit. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 11-26-2006, 08:56 PM | #15 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Florida Posts: 13 | well, first i need to know if it's POSSIBLE and how much it is, and what kind of person (proffesion) could make that 6 into 4. THEN i need to know EVERYTHING i need for a turbo setup that IS NOT included in that kit (for instance, maybe someone knows what kinds of bends they used in another turbo package :: mosselman::: ?) | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
