In a late 95 318ti (with the 3 button alarm FOB), I'm having trouble with my alarm, it does not respond sometimes so I want to remove the module and replace it, but I cant find it. Can anyone tell me where it is? I looked in the right side of the trunk and behind the glove box, but didnt see it. Any help is appreciated, thanks. | | | 04-13-2009, 04:22 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | On my car, the alarm module was tucked and bolted to the back side of the crossbar behind the glovebox... found it with a mirror. __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. The airbag is mounted onto this bar. On the front side of that bar there is a "knee bash pad", not sure what to really call it, but it is basically what looks like a flat piece of metal that is padded. The alarm module is bolted to the back side of that. If you look up into the area behind the glove box on the passenger side you will see where all of the relays are, it is just in front of that area. edit- just looked at those pics, they call it a knee bolster. | | | 04-13-2009, 05:28 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: MD Posts: 10 | Hey guys, thanks for the info, I looked behind the glove box, but I didnt actually remove it. I just pulled it about 6-8 inches out and looked behind it. I guess I'll pull it all the ay out. thanks. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
