WTB: 318ti in or around SoCal

I'm searching for a new daily driver and have been a big fan of older BMWs in the past (3 E30s and 1 E34 so far). This time around, I was repeating my new practicality mantra: LGDJ, LGDJ, LGDJ (love German, drive Japanese). But I can't resist the dark powers wielded by BMW.

I was going to stick with another E30, but tonight I drove a beater 318ti and fell in LOVE. Seems to me like the best of the E30 and E36 worlds combined.

I don't want to buy that car, but I might want to buy yours! The car must be in very good condition, and MUST BE a 5-speed - I'm not interested in automatics. Color is not important although black and white would be my least favorite. The more options the better; the fewer the mods (unless they are very tasteful) and the lower the miles, the better. I can spend up to $4500, which should put me in the upper end of the category, no?

A California top would be rad but is certainly not a requirement...

I am out in the country in Lake Hughes, CA but I will travel within Southern California for the right car.
