Also is it aluminum? Thanks | | | 02-22-2013, 08:37 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: Phx Posts: 196 | It's not brand new anymore, 2 owners now. However, it was never installed by either of us, so it is unused. Tags still on it. It's aluminum. -Eric | | | 02-22-2013, 11:40 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | Eric, would you mind posting a pic please? I'm thinking you can either install this or a x-brace. Is that correct? I think I've seen some threads here or another forum about using both with longer bolts, but the conversations didn't go very far. I personally think it is one or the other, yeah. | | | 02-22-2013, 11:58 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | Ya, I have an E30 Vert and in it's case, I have a raceskids x-brace and a skid plate between the rad and x-brace. I didn't know if this was the same or goes in place of the x-brace. Thanks! __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org! I can e-mail higher rez if needed. I honestly don't know that you can't necessarily put both on. I considered it, but now playing around with thoughts of welding in the gaps. There's an older x-brace I've seen with smaller gaps and more metal. | | | 02-23-2013, 08:47 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | Eric, thanks! I can now see it's one or the other and I'll stick with the xbrace. I thought it might just be positioned forward of the xbrace to protect the belt area from debris. It actually sits further back. Thank you for posting pics! __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org!
