I'm not too picky, but I'm looking for a low milage TI in the Boston MA area. Will drive serious milage to get the right car. Needs to be a 5 spd manual, and prefer black or silver in color. just glanced around... this one (looks like a base) is from a dealer in NJ -- a bit far from you, but its seems to fit more or less what you are looking for.

Funny, Im in the NJ area looking for the same thing but would ideally prefer one w/sport package. They are certainly less easy to find than I expected. Looks like we'll be fighting for the same cars. I would buy the 97 w/S52 swap but no reply from the owner..Good luck to ya.

Mine will likely be for sale soon. I have too many cars. The suspension, as it is set-up now, probably would not work well on the streets of Boston. This is the car in my sig. Overall it's in very good shape and I will probably list it in the low-6s. 97k miles. Includes extra set of stock alloys, extra stock headlights, etc.

I speculate: Where did you see this 97? Did you get a chance to look at the one that's listed earlier in this forum post in real life? Let me know, because maybe we can work together to track down a list of cars worth looking at, rather than competing for the same cars and wasting time on both ends.

You mean the 97w/s52? Thats right here in the classifieds.

I havent looked at any in person yet although I may check out the 98 w/ 91K ($7700) at European Motorworks. Its only 25 miles from my house.

We probably check the same sites for these cars. I look at autotrader, bimmerforums, and here on a daily basis. I check ebay but I doubt Id buy a car that way. I recently looked on cars.com and there were a bunch of listings not seen on autotrader so you may want to look there as well.

BTW, there is a beautiful Alpine/Beige 318i in CT on autotrader right now but the guy is in outer space with the price. 97 109K asking $9900....Yeah, OK
