There's just one thing from keeping my ti from being in perfect condition, and it's that the damn air dist. dial won't turn left past the defroster setting to the floor setting. I can feel air on the floor when I move it as far left as possible. I could really use some advice for how to get to where the problem might be.

I took off all the dials and unscrewed the 2 screws I found, and had no luck budging the black cover off. I think if I was able to get under there I could *hopefully* fix it.

Has anyone ese had this problem and know the cause or the solution? Any advice for how to get the black cover off from around the heating controls?

Thanks!

Check the cable that switched it from defrost to floor and see if its bound up..If its not that then its the actuator door sticking and you will have to remove the dash and fix it that way..Good luck..

you can get pretty decent access to behind the dials if you pull the radio out. maybe it just needs a little lube. or maybe somethings broken. the cables hook into a funky cam-dial device thing. i know im being technical here but i can definately see how something could bind up with this system. there are a couple cables (or 3?) going to it. maybe try pulling on them seperatly to see if one is seized. if a cable is seized, replace it...and good luck with that. they look like they're burried pretty deep in the dash.

Great! I'll be working on it next weekend and see what I can find.

Thanks!
