Lamborghini Gallardo currently getting worked on at my shop. It is sitting in my bosses bay who owns the giant yellow Snap on tool box. Thought it was a cool pic. | | | 06-16-2008, 05:03 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Damascus, Maryland Posts: 434 | What a sexy piece of Italian genius. We had to order the parts straight from Italy, no one in the states had the sensors or FPR. Now the whole rear end has been disassembled because when the owner bought the car he was told that both CATS were hollowed, but that was definitely not true because only 1 of them were. I'll take a pic of the rear in pieces tomorrow and show you guys. It is a sweet car overall. I went underneath and the engine only has 1 belt that runs the crank pulley and alternator. The p/s pump and a/c compressor are both driven by the transmission with little shafts from each component linking to the tranny. Also, to do an oil change on this car you have to take off both of the intake manifolds to get to the housing, so it definitely will not cost $50 to do an oil change on this car, more like a couple hundred. | | | 06-16-2008, 05:35 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | Quote: Originally Posted by SDKmann Can I have your job? | In 10 weeks you can, lol. There are some sweet cars that show up every once in a while for repairs or just to check us out. This older lady actually came in last Thursday in her 2007 Aston Martin Vantage to check out the Gallardo. She wants to buy it. | | | 06-16-2008, 05:36 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | ouch. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! Probably nothing compared to the service costs on your Lear Jet and the payments on your private island. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 06-16-2008, 09:02 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: Southern California - Orange county Posts: 978 | wow thats a fine piece of engineering __________________ 1995 318ti Cosmos Black Bilsteins w/ H&R Sport, Depos w/ angeleyes and HID 5K, 50% short throw kit, Custom fogged intake, AC schnitzer pedels w/ deadpedels, leather stickshift knob, vitesse tuning Ebreak boot w/ shift boot, X-Brace, 325/328 brake upgrade, Gray millpoint leather and cloth interior, custom computer multimedia system, and Style 5 BBS 17" rims, M3 Mirrors, CF Hood | | | 06-16-2008, 02:24 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | nice little car i wouldnt mind that tool box __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 06-16-2008, 07:43 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | I was hoping for a dakar yellow ti when I saw this thread that's not a ti, I've never felt so lied too | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
