Before investing in expensive engine work I may consider letting this car go. I am curious what some may think a reasonable price is for a 96 with 70K. I just finished fixing the car up for a commuter Sport front end Paint job is carbon black and less than a month old Alloy wheels and tires with less than 1K on hem Automatic This car is great with the exception that my wife WAY WAY overheated it. | | | 08-23-2008, 12:15 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | A couple people are selling m44s, you should just pick one up and put it in otherwise, id say you can get maybe 3500 at most, 5-6.5k at most with running engine. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 08-23-2008, 04:20 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Globally Posts: 1,162 | Might want to advertise in local area on C-list. Lack of engine will really hurt sale unfortuanately. | | | 08-23-2008, 04:55 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Austin Posts: 3,059 | Engines for sale. I suggest getting in contact with these guys before selling your car. They might give you a deal that can't be turned down. I think someone was selling a m44 for like $400 or something. Can't find the thread though. But if you get a working motor, the value of your car will be more than what you spent on replacing it. Not a promise though. http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=22975 http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=22310 http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=23301 __________________ Come get a ti-shirt Quote: From the e30 M3, evolved the e36.
