Default My new 318ti, and my e30

Well, I'm making an introduction here. Always been a big fan of the TI models, and I've been keeping my eye out for a car to pick up as an SCCA beater. I looked at a fair number of cars, and as I wasn't looking to spend a fortune they were mostly trash. A 318ti popped up, out of what I was willing to spend for this endeavor, but after some negotiations I signed the title.

1995 318ti - 229k miles, and you'd never know. Raceland coilovers, which are actually better riding than I'd given credit for and some catback exhaust. The interior, has seen better days. Came with no door cards, seats are dirty, and the sunroof will not go forward. Temp gauge barely registers (I already changed thermostat, and the previous one was stuck open - so still sorting that out). I picked up a set of door cards today and reglued all of the clips back on. No inside pics yet - but....

PICS - albeit both dirty and from an iphone...

As far as the E30 goes - 87 ETA that started off as an automatic, I 5 speed swapped it. MarkD chip, polyurethane subframe and trailing arm bushings, H&R OE springs and E36 seats. Otherwise, just did all the normal timing belt, tie rods, etc...intended to be a daily driver.

Plastic bumper swap for the E with a lower grated on rear would look great or some euro bumpers. Nice combo.

Thanks

I actually don't mind the diving boards on the E - and I'd love to lower it more if I wouldn't start eating rear tires. I could weld in some camber adjusters, but being low is already hard for a DD. I figured staying at the current height is probably ideal. I've got a set of basketweaves for it that I plan to throw on, and after that I will likely not do much more to it.

The ti on the other hand, I'm debating if I will leave the race land coilovers on or try to go back to stock suspension for the time being. I will do a lot of research before I do anything, but I want to hone my driving skills before I start messing with too much. The car is super fun to drive, and I'm sure with a more properly tuned suspension is a lot more fun
