Default wich are the best spark plugs for the ti?

Hello...

How are you doing?
I'm looking to upgrade the ignition of my M42 ti. I'm going to install magnacor wires but I don't know wich spark plugs should I buy...
What is, in your opinion, the best ones?
Also, will these upgrades bring any performance boost? Even if a small one?

Thank you!

regards!

This is my question too...I found out that there r Denso iridium spark plugs IK20 for our engine but i wouldn't want to be the first who gets them in a ti..
Also what spark plugs do u use guys? i used the NGK BKR6EK (BMW recommended type) and they r pretty good.

You wont make power with plugs. You could regain power by replacing old plugs with new. I use Bosche +4 on mine. The stock plugs were also a +4 design. I found no difference between the stock BMW plugs and the Bosche.
I personnaly would stay away from the Iridium plugs as they have been known to break, which has actually wrecked a couple of members engines.
On my race cars we use good old fashioned Champion copper plugs. The engines actually tested with a few more hp on the engine dyno with them. And they are cheap. We just replace them after every track session.

my philosophy is just one of replacing them fairly often (yearly) and not so much what "the best" plug is. i just got the standard bosch plugs recommended by bmw as one of the stock plugs (they have both a bosch and an NGK recommendation). at something like $3-4 a plug, who cares?

Are they the ones that break prongs? Maybe I'm thinking about another. But there is at least one 4-pronger that breaks off in BMWs.

I use whatever the parts guy at the BMW counter sells me.

No problem with them yet. I have about 20,000 miles on this set at the moment.
One thing I do before purchasing spark plugs is to inspect them at the parts counter. Look for torn up or bent packaging. Bent or off-center electrodes. Even check the gap to make certain they are correct for the car. Sometimes I will go through 6 or 7 boxes before I get plugs that meet my QA inspection. When I am questioned I make up some story about race cars and 200 mph... then they either laugh or shut up. Most people around here know of my Northstar V8 powered 200mph 1987 MR2.

I used a BMW performance NGK 4 prong plug I really like it. I forget the part number though.

BKR6EQUP is the part number u mention. This is the "high power and long life" spark plug recomended by BMW
