I know there have been some posts about the C-lock on the hatchback, but
I think the following hasn't been covered:

I spotted a potential problem with the C-Lock on the Tailgate
the other day. The interior lights were intermittingly coming on
over rough surfaces. The cause: the right bolt on the C-Lock has
separated itself from the metal--causing the tailgate to move just
enough to bring the lights on. Oh, the alarm now goes off when
parked--thinking the trunk is open.

Has anyone experienced this? Re-welded the lock into place?
I'm surprised the trunk is that stressed in just day-to-day
driving. As far as I can see, the only thing keeping the trunk
closed is the left bolt/rivet in the lock! by the way, the lock mechanism
works fine.

Any advice would help,
Thanks
