 bmw 318ti slow cranking
hi can anyone help me i have a 318ti with the m44 engine and it has a problem with slow cranking. its only when i first start the car its as if i have a lazy starter but if i then turn the engine off straight after it has started it will crank as it should. recentley i changed the oil and the idle control vlave which cured the fault untill now. the idle contol valve makes a humming noise is this normal? would this give me the fault i have now? a new valve will cost 120 quid and i dont want to fit another second hand one for sake off keep replacing every 2months. ive heard of a fault similar to mine being with a fuel pump relay? does anyone else suffer with this fault or better yet has anyone cured this fault. i dont think it is the starter and it definatley aint the battery. |
