Default 96' TI Vs. 03 Acura RSX Type-S

Last night, driving on the 60 out here in LA, I'm doin my usual 80mph, the TI loves it there, this punk in a new RSX pulls up next to me looks over, pulls ahead a little, then slows back down, obviously challenging me, so I went for it, punch it down, stay even with him around 115mph, then I started to pull away, and then my car rev limited at 125mph, and he goes for the pass, and rev limits at exactly the same speed as me hahaha it was halarious we both had it down the whole way and were neck and neck side by side for like 1-2 minutes, we both smiled and I gave him the peace sign and slowed down haha it was nice to see that the old 1.9L TI could hang with one of Honda's best. Can't wait till i get the 3.2L in here it'll be no contest!

Well if you felt good staying with a rsx type s i stayed with my friends 2002 325Ci sport package. Ya my little lightweight 4cyl stayed with the heavy 6cyl from stop light to stop light so beat that!

haha nice, i love the ti, even at 1.9L it's tough to beat the lightweight'ness of the thing, i stay with most cars i come across. again, i wont have much competition after next month when the 3.2L is completely installed

hehe, its funny how v-tec equipped Honda's are useless unless you keep them up at high rpm. The RSX type-S is a pretty fast car that should be able to eat a ti, but only if you know how to take advantage of the engines narrow powerband.

hehe YEAH TI power!
It's kinda funny how this was posted last night because my friend with an RSX type-s just raced another integra with a type R engine last night.
He lost...haha...I felt kinda bad because he thought he was going to win for sure lol.

here is my run in with one. An old story I posted on bimmerforums

2 lane road that turns into 1 in about a quarter mile after the light at which we stood. I'm in the left lane, he's in the right, but in front of him is a car that turns right when the light turns green. I start out normally and look back, and sure enough he's running full throttle. I chirp to second gear and we are both going about the same speed with me slowly ahead, chirp into third gear, still ahead, chirp into fourth and he pulls on me like I'm standing still, and passes me with authority. Gives me the thumb up, and I honk my horn and do the same. He has a new model RSX-s that was very clean with mean sounding exhaust and powdercoated rims.

I pull up next to him and say "What the hell?". Ask him what he has, and tell him I'm shocked and it must have been my heavy chrome rims (jokingly). He said he has a 9000 rpm redline, and was in SECOND GEAR THE WHOLE TIME! I asked him if he runs mid 13s, and he said "mid to high 13s"

I have a light flywheel, remus exhaust, intake, supercharger, blow back valve, and uuc evo 3 short shift kit. After the race, the guy told me he has all boltons, which include exhaust, chip, and some other things.

I was shocked, and we had a good exhange of comments
