It was used to disconnect the battery during the long journey to an overseas dealer and protect it against discharge The factory snaked the cable up to the front seat for easy access by the loaders. The switch and cable was removed by the receiving dealer once the car was under their care. | | | 02-14-2008, 03:30 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | thanks john!!! __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 02-14-2008, 01:15 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | oh, I just noticed that Mallard got the same code from my vin... sucks they removed the cable - I got excited for a sec cause I wanted to install a battery kill switch with a removable key...
