Would be awesome if we could do it again! I wasn't able to participate for the '08 cause I just joined a few months ago. But I would like to be a part of a new calender by casting my vote.

Yeah whats the deal? It would be nice if this could be organized in a civil manner this time. I wasn't aware of the drama last year, but it seems like someone should take charge of collecting the images then assign a few carefully selected volunteers to narrow down the images for the calendar. This way there won't be any pissing matches. I for one would volunteer to be on the image selection panel to help pick the final set of images for the calendar. Its only as difficult as you make it.

I am also the art director for a comic book publisher called Dynamite Entertainment so I would have no problems lending my expertise to this project. I know we can all pick out a cool image but we need to make sure the quality of all images is up to par so everything prints as nice and clear as possible.

it was more of a popularity contest last year... people getting other people to vote for their cars, etc etc. Just trying way to hard to get a spot in the calendar. I didn't even enter I was so frustrated how it was turning out.

but I think we at least learned alot to make a better attempt this year, if Steven decides to go ahead and have one again.

I don't know if all this would be possible.... BUT

- Ranking should be invisible to voters... and only people who were forum members on or before the date voting begins should be able to vote (maybe impossible, but would be ideal to avoid "cheaters")
- To enter you should have to be a site supporter.
- Should be judged on quality of photo, rather than who owns the car.

It should be about getting the best product possible, not all the BS that was the 08 calendar.

How about posts per day rather than having the "rich" people having their way? Metaphorically speaking to get a point across.

We just need to write up the rules again and understand the spirit of the rule.

Yea check the front of the calender everyone is there.

But yea +1 for site supporters entry only. Last year was a mess i just hope this year it goes smoothly. Well at least this time we have some idea of what could go wrong. There should be a panel that votes on the pics instead of the general forum. Also the people in the panel can't submit a pic, just to be fair.
