Question Water/Methanol Injection

I want a water/meth injection kit for my car to run
in conjunction with NO2.
Snow Performance, if you get to this thread, help would
be nice. Didnt see anything on you website as far as a
'drop in' kit, im assuming i will have to custom build everything?

No problem - the kits are inherently universal, except that we custom size the nozzles to your application, etc.

To run water-methanol injection with a nitrous setup, I would recommend a Stage 1 N/A kit, and instead of using the adjustable vacuum switch that comes with the kit to activate it, I would have it activate with the same setup as the nitrous.

We are trying to tailor the kits towards more application specific setups, but it takes so much time and we are doing everything we can every day just to ship out current orders.

Thanks for the interest, let me know if I can help any more.

Sweet, that'd be awsome. My shop has never done
an install like this.

I'm having a hard time understanding what benefit the water/methanol would have in a NOS mixture. Could you explain?

The NOS will cool the air charge down way more than the water evaporating will. And I was under the impression that when you use water injection on an NA car it should be a high compression motor, like about 11 or 12:1.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but it would be nice to hear your reasoning behind recommending the kit. For me, there needed to be a substantial increase in power or safety to justify spending hundreds of dollars on a setup like this. Please explain!

No problem Dusten.

On Nitrous applications, if you are injecting any decent amount, you need to retard the ignition, similar to retarding the ignition under boost (similar cylinder pressure stuff going on) to prevent preignition and beyond that, detonation.

Water-methanol increases the octane significantly, to the effect that 91 pump gas is the same as 116, or C16 race gas. This allows a nitrous setup to use full ignition advance in most cases, which will give a nice horsepower increase without having to drain pump gas and fill with race gas to get it.

It also allows for an easier nitrous installation if an instantaneous ignition retard isn't an option.

I like this concept VERY much, i was not looking forward to having
to retard the ignition and deal with all of that when installing
my NO2. Can I also safely increase the HP shot of NO2 with this set up?

I won't go that far to say exactly what your engine will take, only that others have done exactly that. Each engine is different.

From my experience with nitrous, we have found you can
safely run 50% of stock HP ALL DAY LONG without problems.
Which would relate to around 70-75hp shot.
But if I could run say, 100shot? That would be CRAZY!!
