Default New-to-me Cali

Howdy group! Was hunting a replacement for our 2000 E39 528it sport and didn't find it! Couldn't pass up a 200 mile drive down into the woods near Crater Lake Oregon when I saw an ad for a 245k mile '97 Arctic Silver 318ti with moonroof. Had a fun time Friday leapfrogging home with the wagon and feeling out the cornering and acceleration and admiring both cars from an outside driver's point of view. Have done some repairs (reglued rearview, repaired window switch, cleared codes ((not back after 200miles? fixed?))) Need a replacement steering wheel as the leather is worn through and looking for a replacement good black leatherette manual seat with good seatbelt receiver as my airbag light is on and pointing at the driver's seatbelt switch. I'd like to swap in an E36 armrest and console but need to come up with a cupholder - the cupholder insert with coin storage is too long for the armrest insert. It's a fun little dude! Amazing how different BMW's offerings all are - I've had or have the 533i, 325i E30, 318i E30 with M42, E34 525it, E39 528it, and now this E36 M44.

Welcome! I suppose you know the drill about BMW cooling systems. The Ti is no different. Cheers! John
