(i love white) are you looking to sell it or attempt to fix it? | | | 10-02-2012, 02:14 AM | #5 | Member Join Date: Jan 2012 Location: Chicago Posts: 39 | I'm not gonna spend 5K to fix it. I'm waiting to hear what the insurance co. is offering. So far, they're saying it's only worth about $3k. | | | 10-02-2012, 02:51 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | Damn, that's lousy... Glad you two are ok. Cars can be replaced, not people... It is obviously going to be totaled out, a shame, you car looked very nice and clean. Do not take the Ins. Co. first offer. They will low ball you. Always make them find a solid comp basis for an Excellent Condition replacement to base what they eventually pay you. I'll take the shift boot and knob. Be careful on insurance claims. They can be sticky. | | | 10-02-2012, 10:26 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Glad you are ok. | | | 10-02-2012, 07:46 PM | #10 | Member Join Date: Jan 2012 Location: Chicago Posts: 39 | Thanks for the well wishes. My son isn't complaining of any pain, thank god. I'm not so lucky though. I did go to the doctor to get checked out because I'm having Neck and Back pains. Xrays show no skeletal damage, but my upper back has some swelling | | | 10-05-2012, 09:57 PM | #11 | Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Florida Posts: 90 | Whip lash is no joke! You need to go see a competent Massage Therapist ASAP! There insurance will most likely cover it. If it was the front that was smashed I might be interested in the car.
