Get us some pictures asap! As for the conversion, take a look here: http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3037 It will cost more than what you bought the car for. __________________ Come get a ti-shirt Quote: From the e30 M3, evolved the e36. Part No. 11-62-1-728-983-M17 on PelicanParts.com. | | | 10-30-2008, 03:39 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | Nice looking car man. Not bad at all for 900. The exterior is looking clean. One thing to do is get a CAI and lose that ugly box. What plans do you have for it? __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 10-30-2008, 04:15 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | that doesn't look like the stock airbox for an M44 to me, I might be wrong though | | | 10-30-2008, 05:06 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Gilbert Posts: 621 | its a '96... and its a stock box.. i was thinkin bout doing an intake and replacing the exhaust with something a little bigger, a little more tone in it.. but then i dont want to look like one of those civics rollin down the street and thats all they got on their car. and right now its aut so i was thinkin bout doing a manual conversion... my friend works at a tuner shop down here in az called Intense Motorsports and im sure we can use the shop or my teacher would help us out at the auto shop at school as far as getting it put together.. fuuck $60+ an hour for labor haha | | | 10-30-2008, 05:20 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Prospect Heights, IL Posts: 188 | Are you in IL? __________________ | | | 10-30-2008, 08:12 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Gilbert Posts: 621 | nah. Very minimal gains. If your looking for power, Swap or Turbo are going to be your best option. And not exactly sure but I dont think those wheels will fit your car because the ET is different. Ill leave that to the wheel experts though. __________________ | | | 10-30-2008, 02:50 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | I have that same intake, extremely minimal power gains, if any, I just bought mine for looks and sound | | | 10-30-2008, 02:50 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | 5 SERIES WHEELS HAVE A LOWER OFFSET AND LARGER BORE, YOU WILL NEED HUBCENTRIC RINGS AND PROBABLY HAVE (whoops caps lock was on ) to roll your fenders if they are true M5 wheels. If you want serious power don't expect much from the stock engine. If you can find a DASC that's a way to go or swap in a 6 cylinder. Fogging the airbox is much cheaper than a CAI and provides the same gains while retaining the stock filter element. Search for it. If you respray the car, do it in the original color. Unless you are willing to spend serious money having it done right, it won't look the same as a factory paint job. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 10-30-2008, 09:57 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Gilbert Posts: 621 | they areent the exact wheels from an m5 i was just saying thats what they look like cuz i cant find a pic of my dads car on my comp right now.. would those wheels look nice on a 318? im thinkin 17 will be a lil too big for it.. like not fitting wise but as far as looking good. __________________ *IF ITS FAST AND CHEAP, ITS NOT RELIABLE* *IF ITS CHEAP AND RELIABLE, ITS NOT FAST* *IF ITS FAST AND RELIABLE, ITS NOT CHEAP* | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
