Recently many members are selling their 318ti or losing them for whatever reasons. The question is what do you plan to buy next to replace the bimmer? Would you buy another bimmer? A new or used car of different brand? Let's hear your thoughts and plans. | | | 08-12-2006, 11:49 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | I plan to never replace my Ti, but my next car withh maybe be a VW GTI or a Landrover discovery 97 | | | 08-12-2006, 12:06 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | In addition to my ti I want a 130. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 08-12-2006, 02:17 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Thousand Oaks, California Posts: 343 | I am tryin hard to find a good replacement Bimmer, would really like to find anohter Ti. In addition to the full range of other 1-series engines, they may eventually put the S54 engine in it and call it the M2...now THAT would be a hot setup!!! | | | 08-14-2006, 12:35 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by Budget M3 On a related front...there is word that the 1-series coupe is finally going to be released later this year. I guess I need to replace my FIRST 1 license plate for FIRST 2. Then again, An M2 will be ridiculously priced. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 08-14-2006, 01:06 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti That was rumored a couple years ago. Hopefully theyll make a 1 series avalible that would be close to that kind of performance with out the M pricing. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 08-17-2006, 02:30 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Hinsdale, IL. I actually have a Japanese 1 Series brochure but I can't read a damn thing in it. Pics are good though. Just sold my e36 M3 Vert - check new avatar for last ride data. The 1 series is much more practical for me and the family. Please BMW, don't screw this one up and bring it over here quickly. | | | 08-12-2006, 02:35 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Halethorpe, MD Posts: 1,028 | I'm also waiting to see what happens with the 1 Seires. I really like the A3, but the Quattro is just a little too pricey and I don't like FWD. An R32 would be cool or maybe an STI. Of course I would certainly make the sacrifice and drive an E46 M3 if I had too | | | 08-12-2006, 03:45 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Lincoln Park Capitol Hill, Washington DC Posts: 741 | 120d if it ever comes here.
