My hatch struts are weak and I need to replace. I checked on RealOEM and saw that the standard part for my car is 51248230070. This is a 420N unit. I think there are 430N units available, too. At $35 ea they seem a bit pricey. I know these units have standard mounts, but the length and force can be customized if you buy them from Ace controls. I'm sure that's what BMW did. But my question is this... Has anyone found one for a Toyota or something that fits but costs less? I've not priced out any other struts, so I really don't know if 35ea is high or not. | | | 05-09-2006, 03:11 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Berkeley, CA Posts: 411 | I paid 60 for them on eBay.
