If u cant find em let me know i'll post a pic but just have a good look!! | I'm having problems getting my head unit out. I just bought the car at the beginning of the year and a few weeks ago i cleaned the battery terminals... Well I need the security code to use the radio again and I don't know it or have it. I called the dealership and they told me to get the serial number off the side of the head unit. I found the flaps and what not, but hex keys aren't working for me unless I'm doing something horribly wrong. It looks like I need something that has a 5 sided head. It's a pentagon shaped, 5 sided figure. I tried every tool I had and I went to 2 other friend's houses and another relatives house and still got absolutely nowhere... Any suggestions? Help me please! | | | 03-08-2007, 12:12 AM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Pennsylvania Posts: 20 | maybe nevermind I found another post that might have given me the info I needed... | | | 01-25-2007, 03:06 AM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: maryland Posts: 17 | ok thanks i got it out and now i have one more question, i just wired up a pioneer head unit and it turns on and everything lights up and all but it wont play any music out of it....if u would have an explenation for that it would be great thanks | | | 01-25-2007, 03:47 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: dorchester Posts: 700 | hummm pass 'fraid i kept my original head unit in..someone'll give u the answer though just bare with the thread!! | | | 01-25-2007, 04:21 AM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Posts: 3 | I installed a Pioneer as well and had no problem. Make sure your head-unit is powering the "electric antenna" even when playing the CD, otherwise your car's stock amp won't energize. | | | 01-29-2007, 11:05 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | Hey, want to sell me your radio for $65 shipped? | | | 02-04-2007, 09:13 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: ipswich Posts: 656 | any one had trouble pushing there stereo back with the little room there __________________ 318TI FOR SALE MESSAGE ME FOR MORE INFORMATION | | | 02-05-2007, 12:17 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: dorchester Posts: 700 | yeah i did in my prev compact when i changed the head unit and put the ipod and sub cables coming out...the solution is really quite genius.... u ready...(by the way this is wot i did and i take no responsability for any damage to equipment or wrist injuries caused..)
