I just ordered some red/clear tails off ebay and also am looking to change the side markers, corners, and maybe headlights. I alsoloked under the hood and don' know how to remove the corners. How do you do it? I didnt get the book with the car when I bought it- also we have 9005 and 9006 right? which one is the regular headlight- I will go look later but if anyone can answer now it would be great.. actually a run down/list of all the bulbs would be even better so I dotn have to manually check them all. I mean as far as the tail liht bulbs, turns, corners, fogs, etc. nothing interior or whatver. | | | 01-02-2008, 04:00 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | as for the tail light bulbs...the correct bulb is stamped on the connectors...you should be able to find these stamps fairly easy when you remove your tail light backing. give it a look __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 01-02-2008, 08:33 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | For removing the front corners: Open your hood. Grab a flashlight and long screwdriver. Looking down at where the corner light is next to the headlight, there will be a hole that you shine your flashlight down at. You should see a plastic clip with two teeth that is clipped on to the headlight. Put the screwdriver down in the hole and push the clip towards the corner light. NOTE: YOU WILL PROBABLY BREAK THE CLIP. Once you have broken it just slide the corner straight out. | | | 01-02-2008, 08:48 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: NY Posts: 156 | If you break it- how do you put the light back and secure it? There is only 1 clip holding the corner in? Quote: Originally Posted by adamud For removing the front corners: Open your hood. Grab a flashlight and long screwdriver. I just took some wire, wrapped tightly around where the bulb goes in and then attached the other end to something secure close by | | | 01-02-2008, 09:00 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | EDIT: | | | 01-03-2008, 02:38 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | did you look at your tail lights for the correct bulbs? __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 01-03-2008, 12:04 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: NY Posts: 156 | It was tooo cold here yesterday, no rush- I hope removing the tails isnt too much woork.. some cars you have to take apart that whole panel in the back.. to remove the tails not just the bulbs. | | | 01-03-2008, 03:45 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | To remove the tail lights, just open your trunk. Look at where the light is on the inside and you will see a knob. Left is loose and right is tight. it will come right out. Then unplug the wiring clip that is attached to the bottom of the tail lights and your done.
