Unfortunately they are back ordered and I have to wait for them to come in from the motherland. Has anyone drilled out their sway bushings and installed grease zerks? I want to make sure they stay greased up. I'll take some pics and post a write up when I get around to it. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 08-29-2006, 07:40 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | I replaced my sways with M-tech sways. I'm not sure if the bushings that came with the M-techs ways were stock or not. Checkout my thread: http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthrea...ight=sway+bars What do you think? Posts: 3,156 | You should not need grease on the rubber bushings. Only the polyurethane ones squeak. Mine are stock M3 and are just fine with no grease (but I did use a bit of Silicone lube to help instalation). | | | 08-30-2006, 03:15 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | Can you reallytell the differance on the turns? | | | 08-30-2006, 03:18 AM | #8 | doesn't care about you. If you upgrade sway bars it is basically is another larger/stiffer spring in your suspension. That means it increases the overall wheel rate. | | | 08-30-2006, 03:19 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | owww I got to get me one of thoes, I love driving on the country roads, windy hilly roads, drools... | | | 08-30-2006, 06:13 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Minneapolis Posts: 1,587 | I've been planning on buying new OEM sway bushings for a while. I'm wondering if it'll feel any better, considering my stockers are 10+ years old and have 141,000 miles on them? Also, the rear sway links seem like mush! I've got to get those replaced... | | | 08-30-2006, 06:29 PM | #12 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT!
