Yeah thats true and I totally agree with you. Buying a stock car that has had issues and is in mint condition after being fixed by a reputable shop holds more value than some joe blow changing a head gasket and saying "yea its got a new head gasket" rather than "yeah here are the receipts from the shop where i had the head gasket replaced". The point being that selling a modded car that was done by a shop thats known for swaps versus "yeah its got a 3.2 liter in it that my buddy and me threw in last weekend" is totally different. Pricing varies on motor swapped cars due to this fact so in the long run and you'll notice it on forums, people cream over well put together cars and you can tell just by looking a lot of times and especially if you get to drive it.
Long story short, dont buy a motor swapped car unless you're fully capable of jerking it out and throwing another one back in. Your mechanic skill isnt high enough to own a car like that anyways and you're asking for problems and rape pricing for repair bills. Good parts are good parts, its just that simple.
Sorry for the thread jack OP!
