Default cosmo intake....HELP PLZ!

I took my car to the mechanic because recently ive been having engine problems with my ti He said he doesnt really like the intake because it sits to low and It could ruin my engine. Has anyone with the cosmo intake had problems with it? Is there anything i can do to prevent it from sucking up all the water i was looking for a website for that bypass valve but I could not find it anywhere...Someone please help!
