Default Leather or Leatherette or Pleather?

since I just got this car, 98 318ti, i'm not sure what my interior seats are called. It's the black leather, but seller told me it's leatherette. So, I went to Target looking for leatherette cleaner, but can't find one, so I bought the Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather cleaner/conditioner. Can I use this or should I return it and get the regular Amorall stuff.
