Default compound charging

just a pipe dream for the time being and may never happen but its something i'd love to do!
for those that have never heard of it this is the engine being both supercharged and turbo charged

my fave example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmscSzFurwg

now in theory it all sounds simple the s/c gives me the low end grunt and then later in the rpm range the turbo spins up and gives the top end power!
they also help each other out by way of the charger gets more air in initially therefore helping the turbo's spin up faster and then the turbo compressors air feeding it to the charger and because the air is already compressed the charger compressors more therefore getting more power all round!

now im no expert and that's just from what I've read from the net but the info I cant find is the stuff that's important ie is there a limit at which the charger can no longer handle the charge from the turbo?
what would be the best turbo for the job?
i'm aware the mapping will be a big job! and be a standalone system needed!
but is there anything else that would need to be considered?
if I did decide to do this instead of a new project I would go all out and uprate all the internals etc

a few pics I've found of people doing similar to 4 pots

unfortunately these were projects done by foreign guys who have tried writing the projects in English therefore not very informative on the technical front!
now plan to speak to some experts about the possibilities but want to be armed with as much knowledge and as many relevant questions I can! so your thoughts please gents....
