The car is pretty much bone-stock, except for a K&N air filter. The equipment listed on the window sticker (I have all of the original dealer paperwork and owner's manual) is: AM/FM /cassette with Alpine 6-CD changer, power windows/locks/mirrors, OBC, anti-lock brakes, sunroof, cruise control, 5-speed, A/C, cloth seats, and alarm system. I'm guessing it's an "Active" model, based on the other comments I've seen here about what each model comes equipped with. I am the 3rd owner, and bought it with 58,000 miles on it 5 years ago. It now has only 125,000 miles on it and and I have NEVER had to repair ANYTHING mechanical under the hood, except normal maintenance items, such as fluids, spark plugs, brakes, belts, and tires. Oh, I did have to replace the battery two years ago, and I just put new tires and brakes on it. Window switches seem to be common failure items. That said, I noticed that the interior trim started sagging (headliner, pillar covers, etc.) so I replaced those with OEM items. I plan to drive this car until they won't let me drive any more. | | | 06-26-2008, 10:04 PM | #141 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | if it has OBC, it's an active, so yes, yours is an active model | | | 06-27-2008, 05:31 AM | #142 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Austin Posts: 3,059 | I got a 318ti 1997 Sport. My front weels are from another BMW , my sister broke the original ones... | | | 08-22-2008, 02:49 AM | #148 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | If you have the On Board Computer, most likely it's an Active. Since it's hard to break steel wheels, my guess is those where the 10 spoke alloys. Sounds like the temp sensor is missing. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti 2003 MINI Cooper S 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
