Lightbulb requesting help from a fellow member in socal

i may make a ti purchase out in san diego (i'm in chicago), and i was wondering if there are any mechanic-type-guys out there who can take a look at it for me. or know of a good mechanic. the vehicle has a salvage title and has been repaired/inspected recently. which is why i'm asking for someone w/ decent car knowledge. i'm not sure what the history report says yet.

expenses would be covered, of course.

i have a friend in l.a. that i'm going to ask to review the vehicle, but he's no mechanic.

Local BMW Chapters usually have decent places listed that you can bring your car to. Check out the LA Chapter's website for sponsors or shops listed.
