Here's the one I have but I have the VC-100 controller. Only difference is the VC-100 can switch from MAP to MAF and handle higher boost...
Is it the controller only? And it looks like it uses only boost to adjust flow... I'm looking for one that I could control with both boost and MAF: if this what the VC-100 does?

Here is the turbo from a 1995 318tds turbo diesel M41 engine.

I doubt it would fit a gas M42-44, but I thought it was interesting:

Well my head is finished and will ship back tomorrow. It had some damage: 3 bent valves and 1 that was leaking from the DISA valve parts going through the motor. Upgrades that I requested were aftermarket new stainless exhaust valves (all 8) with thicker rim seating area to help cooling in turbo application. Hayabusa race springs and keepers (15,000rpm version). Complete head R/R. Should be here Tuesday so I can have in before the weekend

hell yes, now get a megasquirt in that bitch and get it professionally tuned and dialed in so you can see its potential.

He likes the stock ECU system. I think he's pretty capable of using that to tune... plus he can keep all of his sensors working correctly.

yeah, thats true too. He just mentioned megasquirt being an option a long ways back. Pretty sure you can keep all your stock sensors w/ megasquirt too, just have to calibrate it for them.

Anyways whatever he decides to do, I think for the saftey and longevity of the engine, it should be tuned well on a dyno, and monitor for knock and a/f and everything obviously.

It would be neat to see what the curves look like for the dyno graphs.

I've got MAF, Knock, A/F, RPM, Timing all monitored on a LM-2 at all times which goes on a SD card then I can review it to look for tuning issues. I do not have any tuning issues currently that I'm aware of just injectors that are too small which are being changed before I fire it up again. I'm going to get it dynoed, I've already called and found a local dyno and they expect me there in two weeks

People I owe thanks too for helping me on this project:

Metric Mechanic ~ Jim many hours on the phone since he was personal friends with Corky Bell and has a incredible amount of turbo information. Teddy at Metric for multiple hours on the phone turbo seltection, injector selection, remote dyno. Courtney at Metric tuning questions answered whenever I called. Mary at Metric always answering and getting me in touch with the shop personel.

Marty Powell ~ Metallurgy Baxtor Corp. Long time friend and professional welder. Shop time and supervision whenever asked. Never accepts money

Don Wright ~ Wright Performance ~ Mentor when I was 15-25. Taught me most I know about performance race motors and chassis setup. Oddes and ends for project. Never accepts money

Ben Sam & Uncle Savage ~ Gofers always willing to help maybe 100 hours between the two of them

Eagle Race Motors ~ Odds and ends. Never accepts money

Mark D'Sylva ~ Coding multiple tunes for different injector syles and psi levels of boost. Many hours of work and phone calls. Late night street dyno runs and code changes in the early morning hours. Top notch guy don't care what anyone says about him not returning calls. He has always been a great communicator with me...

Board Members (You know who you are) ~ Supporters and non-supporters all helped. Everyone that said you can do it and those that said you can't to pushed me to do it. Members that offered good information or ideas

Blowin 4 ~ For explaining how hard it was to make the M90 work correctly for 25psi supercharged, the main reason I went turbo...sorry he removed himself from the board over a stupid spat, he had some good mods to share

Nick G ~ DASC software to get me started on modding BMW I-4's past the stock 8.5psi, soon I out-grew his software but it is what got me up to 15psi. The theroy in person and that phone call that started the SAP simulator creation

Wife ~ Grease in the white carpet, lots of money spent, lots of time spent on the car instead of family...All understood as a passion of mine

I'm sure there are a few I forgot and I will add those in as I remember. I didn't just pull a turbo project out of my A$$. A lot of people came together and helped me with unlimited advise, free shop time, free help. I could not have finished this project without others help and I want everyone to know that. Installing a turbo for the first time was not just an easy "Hi, I'm John and I'm going to install a turbo for the first time by myself with no knowledge of what I'm doing"

I'm not sure if it would be the case, but I've posted a DIY some time ago on a DISA simulator in case you need it...

Yes that was a neat invention. I don't use Nick's software anymore so I have the option of completely removing the error and maps. Also I left you a message yesterday. Call me back about the Megasquirt
