Along with the M3 motor, cold air intake, M3 insturment cluster, limited slip, short throw shifter, lower gears and exterior mods too many to list, I recently tore out all the rear interior, rear seat, spare tire, and tool kit, cutting out almost 100 pounds of unsprung weight. The wreck happened on wet roads around midnight. The irony is I past the entrance to my subdivision two minutes before I totaled my car I owned for less than two months. I ended up with 15 stitches in both hands. It added up to $15,000 medical damage. A thousand dollars per stitch, W/O MED. INS.. Add insult to injury, I only had liability insurance on the BMW. I am out a total of nearly $75,000. Do the right thing: Go home if your close, not on a Special Stage in your own rally race. Be safe on open roads. Buckle Up. I did. If I didnt, I know I would be dead." These cars are difficult to control even in ideal conditions. It's all most impossible to maintain traction even moving in a straight line. Be careful out there everyone especially those with force induction or swaps. -Dan | | | 11-28-2009, 04:08 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: VIRGINIA Posts: 324 | "People on 'ludes should not drive." - Jeff Spicoli Driving lessons might be in order here. Glad you survived cause looking at the video you got real lucky to walk away and push that door bell...the car can be replaced but a life can't and a lession can be learned by all including me with this incident. Hope your hands heal well and no nerves were cut...Everyone makes bad decisions and some of us pay for it big. My DUI cost me $25K in damaged car, 3 jet skis and legal costs. I was lucky no one got hurt or killed...If it played out different in my incident I might be in jail for the rest of my life Lession learned I hope | | | 11-28-2009, 05:25 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Monterey, CA Posts: 770 | Quote: Originally Posted by xxxJohnBoyxxx Dude sorry to hear about this...I've got to ask were you buzzed?
